>>159640Well, I'm big fan of movies, so, I read about them sometimes, and it was impossible to avoid reading about Master and Margarita at least something. Though, I for example, didn't read much the book so I dunno why everyone like it a lot. Though, they did write that many things were changed and omitted, as you say it's hard to put into 2h 30m, but I didn't see anyone say it's wrong, or something, it's very hard to make film based on book like dat, and previous attempts weren't as great. So, for me, for guy who didn't really knew book, I think it's just great movie.
So, I dunno, even if it mocks atheism, it isn't dat convincing. Like, Woland says how can you know you won't slip on oil on rail tracks? I dunno, maybe there is some spiritual thing, or something, but I didn't believe in it all.
Well, I dunno, but I feel that you like this uncompromising stance. I think maybe Bulgakov was uncompromising, and in the movie it shown that everyone is whimp but Master was just doing his thing and didn't care if what he does will bring him bad, because he thought that writer dies when he doesn't speak up, or how did he say. Well, I'm ain't a fan of this thought. He just says everyone who doesn't name evil as evil, good as good, bad as bad is very evil guy, it's like he judges Soviet people as whole for being complacent. It's very easy, being an author of book, to say this. But is it easy to do it outside the fiction reality of book? I don't think so.
So, I don't think this film is beyond good and bad. I think in movie Woland and Soviet realities are being compared as equally bad. And Master and Margarita supposed to be good, since all wat they care about is their love to each other. I think you won't agree with this though. Even though they did sudoku, they really did it because of their love, and I think the film says this was the real supernatural, the real thing. You might not see Woland being blamed much, but Soviets are being clearly blamed, so, Woland for them was just justified, at least that's wat the movie is leading you to believe.
The artist in ambulance, it's by now a frequent pattern. But for Soviet time it was a torture device, which is clearly shown in the movie. Master and Margarita is about writers, and deals with problems of writers. And it still actual by this day. Now you watch The House That Built, it's not a detective, but it's l
