huchi protips on balancing alcohol ?

i got some vitamin b complex pills and that prevented hangovers (normally i'm immune to those tho if i'm properly fed. i can drink very impressive quantities) but i'm still not sure wats correct drinking cadence for it to last more than x hours. asking bc u talked about extending it for the entire day when u do it

it's possible but there's just lots of little things dat become even worse if ur old. like, chubby and young isn't so bad, but chubby and old and the chub sags and has cellulite etc
maybe i wouldn't go bald in old age but i'd have worse hairline at least and many other things that mismatch w/ being so short and narrow. well, most old ppl r short, and they just don't look good. old and tall gives some authority but it's rare. rn, out of old ppl, it's just rich ppl who were well fed

well there's arbitrary different types of simulations, but we're likely either in a historical ancestor simulation, or just some larger physics simulation where eart is just random emergent thing and not focus of it. watever was simulated u could find it "weird" and y it's like that instead of something else. so it's not convincing argument.

Dunno. For me testing for egoes is enough to see that simulation is impossible. Because of insurmountable complexity of computation this requires. But also, even though Im frozen brain secular frog I still believe in the divine spark in all humans, so, I also think dat god cannot be simulated but only known (eh, I dunno, determinism is required for simulation. There is no truly random simulation, or truly contingent, they all supposed to be computably available. There is no stochastic events in a simulation)

I dunno. I dont really understand. How is dat important? Its like ship of Theseus, I dont care either way because its pointless. And if it is not pointless then the ship must be both at once any way. So, its not like we have to chose a binary. Any way, I cant imagine copying, because that implies my state, my body and my mental stuff, just observed by some magic and replicated. Our interpretation of it can not

Eh, I dunno. I think scifi is a millenial cult. I dont really understand the technological optimism of millennials because I didnt live in such time, but Im familiar with it. So, Im not impressed by the scifi utopias. Considering that they want to be real and yet they cant, but I can understand desire to make it real but then I dont understand if it is really worth it. Why would I want a computer in thundra have superintelligemce brain or whatever, I dont get this appeal

So, I dont believe it is possible to simulate human brain for example. Because it is clear that brain on its own doesnt encode no meanings or intelligence, it is only when brain is paired with a body that the brain is useful to the body. So, brain alone cannot be simulated, then we have to simulate the body. But the body cannot be simulated as encoder of knowledge and meaning because no knowledge and no meaning exist independently from the structure of the society or community. So, it results in infinite regression and ends up at simulating particles smaller than atom. How can this be done? I dont believe that robot ever gonna acquire consciousness, have feelings, so is there really any point to it all

Dunno. Problem of consciousness is that many are convinced that it cannot be just material, so, I would say that assumption that copies must have consciousness is questionable so I dunno. In ship of Theseus the point is identity, but outside of philosophical dialectic, it doesnt matter, its just an opinion which one is the true identity. With copying humans it is not at all, the identity is always clear by virtue that everyone has only one consciousness and one experience so its just obvious which one is you. The you is the one which experiences. In the copy example, depending on interpretation, it might be assumed that your soul or watever just gets transfered to a new body. So, I read Hyperpolitics. And I dont understand the view of the future it has. Sure we live in era of hyperpolitics, but isnt dat hell and if it is, then wat is to be done if it is pointless to resurrect mass politics? It ends with fade to black, but in acknowledgements lists Bhaskar Sunkara who is pretty much proponent of socialism as it was practiced under mass politics

It seems that the solution in the book if you even can call it dat is corporation by watever means available. Wat it says that crucially we are devoid of institutions but institutions are notoriously hard to rebuild due to elite hostility, so, all that is reasonable to do in the current moment is organizing communities into French communist villages basically. Otherwise its view of the future is unclear, any way, but it is kinda true in its description of current circumstance. I wish Jäger had a conclusion chapter with some thoughts about it, I dont think it ends adequately

Well, because thats wat you would expect I guess. The book describes hyperpolitics, which is widespread politization without affect to political change. Wat I want to say is that description by its own is not really useful, in a sense that opinion is needed to get some sense of the intent or the point of it all. So, I would prefer for it to have some kind of conclusion where some thoughts are expressed, but it ends on a "I have no idea wat to do about it" note, in short, in a kinda demoralized tone, kinda defeatist. Or maybe Im misunderstanding or not getting something important here, any way, after reading it I can only describe something and not really think of it as it applies to world, so, if it was clear how could it be applied, or in this case medicated, then I guess it would be more interesting but because it only describes it is incomplete

The video is titled The Depressing Downfall Of Rate My Takeaway and comes from a guy named Phat Memer (a total badass when it comes to internet drama documentaries).

It’s a well crafted recap of the rise and nosedive of the British food review channel *Rate My Takeaway* (RMT), fronted by Danny Malin, a charismatic, chubby guy from Yorkshire.

The guy starts by explaining how Danny was a butcher from Leeds who went viral during COVID (2020) with a silly video mocking people who were panic buying toilet paper.

Then he met a guy who ran a “Rate My Takeaway” Facebook page (which just featured food photos) and made him an offer: “Tell you what, I’ll buy you a kebab; you eat it and rate it.”

Danny being a Yorkshireman and a junk food lover said, “Fuck yeah!”

They posted their first video on YouTube in November 2020 (a 5,000 calorie “munchie box”), and BANG, it blew up: the first three videos racked up 9 million views. The format was simple and addictive: Danny sitting outside the shop with his camping chair and folding table, sporting a thick Yorkshire accent and the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas morning, just rating takeout food.

Then came the personal tragedy: in February 2021, his long term partner, Carrie, died of a heart attack. Danny fell apart mentally, but the channel helped pull him through; the fame and public support gave him a focus for the sake of his kids.

The channel grew to over 700,000 subscribers and more than 125 million views. They toured the US (New York, Vegas, LA), Danny became a silent partner in a burger joint, and they even opened the *Rate My Takeaway Kitchen* (a food court in Huddersfield).
