Our economy has been stagnant nearly a decade since LMAO arrived. Obviously all the Trump and covid shenanigans didn't help… But just compare to China, after decades of being the world's workshop they actually developed their own proper industry, manufacturers, and services and are a competitive market. There been several mexican start ups in every field but they die off before launching proper and the succesful ones barely keep afloat.
Hurting the middle class in favor of helping the poors makes just makes it harder for all the PYMEs and further fucks up the economy. Far too many smaller employers can't afford providing their wagies with all the benefits/provisions forcing even more people into informal labour.
There are a shitton of government programs which in theory sound good but in practice are unregulated. I used to work as web admin for a school courses pages and they had several employees which worked for free as part of the infamous LMAO's "NEET scholarship". The employers used them for all kinds of menial and unnecessary tasks without training them in any useful way cuz it's basically free labor.
The programs all sound really good in theory but poor regulation, low trust society and all the bureacratic bullshit does more harm than good.
