Okay I decided to publish the "unfinished" version of the Photon CSS
files.catbox.moe/mw7dwm.css
How to use:
1) either install uBlock or a similar thing and prevent staffas.org/stylesheets/staffas.css from loading (line ||staffas.org/stylesheets/staffas.css does it for ublock) OR simply set your stylesheet to Yotsuba B (it should work unless something bugs out)
2) install Stylus or a similar custom CSS extension and set it up to use that stylesheet
Basically the idea is that custom CSS are stylesheets designed to use on top of Yotsuba B (staffas.org/stylesheets/staffas.css) and they interfere with each other so only using style.css and a custom CSS of your choice (staffas.css by default) works as intended. Also maybe you can simply use the custom CSS feature on this site but I haven't tested it lmao

Few words about it: I basically went over the threadpage and the boardpage and styled everything I saw, so perhaps I am missing something plus it's really "unclean" lol but whatever, it's usable enough and maybe you guys say something. Adam's new parts like links security check and PM dashboard are largely unaccounted for but I am uncertain about styling them just yet. I won't say much about the idea of Photon but it's basically a very light/clear theme and I made some maybe interesting coloring choices also that feature with catalog posts being fully visible on hover is live and also some other funky stuff.

i also spent some time modifying board themes when i was replicating krautchan look. tho normally i always just use default everywhere (and set to night mode w/ plugin, which ignores most colours anyway)

The incentive to make custom styles for Staffas is basically "fixing" of the styles that are already provided in the select dialog but are really broken - well also getting a bit creative with them and learning more about styling lol

Hopefully I can make a lot of themes basically as good as default (AFAIK only Staffas theme really is worked on here, though I haven't tried other CSS in a while). Also I kinda dislike the Staffas theme, like something about colors seems off to me. Like it's pretty readable, the issue is mostly aesthetic (I'm not entirely decided about my Photon either, I think I hit some points right but maybe I need to resize some things)

OK, so I styled a bit more and here is a new version of the Photon CSS: files.catbox.moe/cyfs4f.css

What changed:
- main page is actually styled now (not entirely sure if display: flex is what I want there but seems fine lol - but yea that's a bit of a change in how it diplayed at all)
- styled the options/settings thing (the one you get after clicking the gear in the top right - honestly that webm default volume setting is useful lmao) (also not sure where the style of buttons - literal "button" in html - comes from but they look fine enough without touching anything lol)

Side notes: the main page is actually styled with a separate stylesheet called recent.css - well at least most elements on it are styled that way. In that light, I'm not sure how I'm going to continue styling it in the future but for now the whole section is just included in this stylesheet and there should be no differences at how this CSS is to be applied (if lola was a webmaster lol)

What's new: changed the highlighted reply color and the quote color (you know, the important stuff ww). Greentext is no more because green doesn't fit the color scheme
Tell me if the orange isn't the pick in your opinion - though honestly being ORANGE is kinda the main thing of Photon at all lol, the original Photon is much more orange and I butchered it a lot

I did embarrassingly little in that timeframe but basically I'm running into the stage when I need to just sit and stare at a lot of selectors which I don't know what they do and don't even necessarily care but I need to do this to get more control over stuff placement etc - basically need to study lol

What changed:
1) backquote (span.misquote) is styled now (more "appropriate" color lol)
2) changed some yolo colors because yea again - some old ones do not really fit/poorly visible etc (pic related illustrates the colors the best I guess)

No updates but while studying shit I got a question
There is a rule in the main stylesheet for div.pages.top which seemingly doesn't do anything - like there is the div.pages element at the bottom of the page but there is no .top class anywhere on the page and the .pages element I mentioned is the only one present on the page (it's the list of the page links BTW)
I can only imagine that maybe there is some configuration of vichan which enables some page list at the top of the page lol but IDK, worth pointing out I guess

Also been thinking that I'm willing to let this thread die and create a new one later at /meta/ or something - like that place would be more useful for this for sure. This thread was just random at first but now it outlived its usefulness and is too long w

Shit's annoying because I underestimated how customizable the vichan is which makes it a bit more difficult to develop a "complete" CSS. I mean, I probably still consider the "full cosmetic" CSS complete for the purposes of the site styling (and my style doesn't override style.css) really, but "full completeness" goal might be scrapped xD

Haven't seen much of it myself, can't confirm - like what was bumped etc. The board seems sorta normal to me. I think I myself (and others) would probably tolerate like 1 ghostbumped thread, it's only a problem when more threads are just randomly there and have to scroll through them IMO
