Its not like Soviet state is not mythical, it is, with its socialism and Stalin utter barbarity. But Nazi Germany is not so mythical in my opinion, as a large effort was done in order to demythologize it. However, if this succeded or not, or to which degree, it is hard to say

There was mythos in Nazi movement/ideology, but they have practiced their belief and they mostly said wat they would do and they did wat theyve said. There is the mythical core of Nazism, in the face of the November 1918 myth, Hitler myth, stab-in-the-back myth, Germany-oh-so-great under Bismarck myth, but when they come to power, those myths were attempted to be made real. Everything was done to make Hitler a true prophet, everything has been done to clean Germany off the November criminals, everything has been done to rearm Germany to wage another war. In this way, Nazis are not mythical. They are only mythical to their supporters which survive today, who mythologize their inhumane ethos and deny the reality and facts of the Nazis, futher creating an illusion of respectability of a Nazi when in reality Nazis were barbaric, very similar to thugs, who didnt obey no laws or mores, destroyed lives without conscience, executed people in broad daylight for personal grudges, wreak havoc at their enemies with insane brutality. It is no myth that Nazis, or Germans, have created a hyper-efficient "protection custody" system of "labor" camps, in other words, death camps. There is no myth in that at all, it happened and it is exactly as researchers and scholars say it was. There is no myth about the Eastern front either, yes their hatred towards slavs and Jews were so great, that they killed and tortured Jews where they could and regarded both of them, slavs and Jews as not human. There was no German compassion towards anyone on the Eastern front, the brutality of their means is not just consequence of the war as such. It was ideological, so its all the more bizzare that people would still say that somehow Soviet union is responsible for all this. It boggles my mind that people still find ways to be Nazi supporters. That is wat myth is, in my opinion. And Nazis are no mythical, because saying so it implies that their real brutality and inhumanity was somehow untrue. It was all true
