"Gary Eats' Worst Review! (Gordon Ramsay's Fish & Chips)," and it comes from the
Gary Eats channel.
Gary is a Brit*sh guy who reviews restaurants (focusing primarily on British cuisine) and he headed to Las Vegas to check out
"Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips," an eatery owned by the infamous celebrity chef, located just off the Strip.
The chaos begins when Gary arrives at 3:30 PM to find the place completely deserted, empty as a dead man’s ass.
Not a soul in sight. He walks in, notices the
"British telephone box" aesthetic, and orders the classic $21.99
fish and chips, but he adds
shrimp, chicken, and
sausage to bulk it up, along with a few sauces: mango curry, tartar, and cocktail.
He also grabs a bottle of
Fiji water for $6.99… seven fucking dollars for water, man! He’s already laughing at the blatant rip-off.
While he waits, he notices the floor is covered in trash, napkins, and general mess. The trash cans are overflowing, and there are bits of decorative greenery scattered about. Gary starts cursing out Gordon: “Empty the bins, Gordon! Empty the fucking bins!” The place is dead quiet, yet it’s clear that nobody is bothering to clean up.
When the food arrives, things get even worse. The chips look greasy, as if they’ve been reheated a thousand times. They aren’t hand cut, they’re cheap, frozen, bottom of the barrel stuff and they taste rancid.
Gary tries them and remarks that they aren’t even decent frozen chips; they’re just plain bad.
The
mango curry sauce is alright (it actually has a hint of mango) but the tartar sauce… holy shit! It’s basically just cream with a pathetic, tiny bit of pickle. Gary gets angry and says that Gordon is “taking the piss” out of tourists.
The
fish (Pacific cod) comes as two tiny “fish fingers.” The batter is golden but greasy, the fish lacks flavor, and the portion size is ridiculous for the price. Gary remarks that if a tourist’s first experience with British fish and chips is this, they’ll think the English are completely out of their minds for eating such crap.
Next, he tries the
shrimp: the batter is mushy, soft, and disgusting. He pays about $8 for two shrimp that look like trash.
The
chicken… this is where it gets epic! Gary cuts it open, spots some “green bits" (strange, unidentifiable green specks) and takes a bite. His face contorts, and he shouts,
“Holy cow! What’s that? That is absolutely vile!” He nearly spits the food out. He calls it one of the most disgusting things he’s ever tasted on his channel.
The
sausage doesn’t fare any better: the batter is soft, and the sausage itself tastes like shit. In the end, Gary declares it one of the worst reviews of his life.
The
Fiji water is the only decent thing he tries. He points out the irony: Gordon Ramsay, the very guy who goes into restaurants screaming, “It’s raw!” and “Garbage! is serving trash to tourists in Las Vegas.
The fact that the place is empty confirms that people already know the truth and don’t come back.
In short: the video is a scathing takedown of a celebrity-branded restaurant that fails to deliver.
Gary exposes the lack of cleanliness, reheated food, tiny portions, inflated prices, and absolutely terrible taste. It’s entertaining because he’s genuinely angry, tries everything, and doesn’t hold anything back.
