You know wat Ive been thinking, you mention that now you use AI at work for basically all. But do you actually dislike it or maybe you think it makes your work easier? Ive changed my opinion about it so I wonder, maybe you too?

Well, LLM arent evil as I imagine it to be. It actually is really dumb technology, its bizzare that there are many people who believe this shit can have conscience or watever…

I have concluded llms are funny/weird because they can do very complex things/operations but still often fuck up with basic stuff.
But that's also pretty human coded that I can't but relate.
Ofc I know that shit ain't alive but I sincerely still find these models impressive.

Ive never disliked AI. I just think work is kinda boring now. Its boring because u have to do more, but think less. Its like factory job. I prefer problem solving. Like solving a crime. AI programming might be fun when you do fun stuff, like games or whatever, or personal software. But when you do boring business industry software you dont really care. Its never ending hustle and there just always needs to be new feature on top of the another. So the only fun in such programming is the programming itself, algorithms and making smart solution. The features themselves arent fun.

But i sort of disagree you saying that its dumb technology. Maybe the local smart models are kinda dumb. Its like search engine it can tell you capital of the country or something. But the latest "frontier" models or whatever they are called, are really really good. At this point they can basically reverse engineer anything given enough time.

And you can do any software with it just by writing specs in plain english. I mean it can make it, if you know what you want. Its just about knowing how to explain it all. And you dont have to even test it. Just tell it to use 100 subagents to test every feature until it works and it will do it, no questions asked.

Its actually hard to wrap mind around how good it is. So its not big surprise to me that people think its living being or something. It almost can read your mind sometimes. Its really impressive.

Well, you are dissing factory work here, but in my opinion this is a very unwise move

Yeah, I see. Well, read your mind? Thats very interesting, lets talk about dat instead. Do you believe dat science will progress so much dat we will one day have brain interfaces which could kinda read your intention and stuff? In other words, wat future of technology do you believe in

Well, you know what that was probably pretty poor comparison. But i dunno, you know what i mean anyhow from the rest of my explanation.

Actually yes i do believe it all now. I was kinda sceptical at first, but you can kinda brute force solutions with this neural network thing. Dont ask me how you would make brain interface though as i have no idea how. I mean, i just think its pretty crazy how you can make these gargantuan problem solving tasks now in the background with no involvement from human person.

But please tell me your ideas about future technology, predictions or whatever. I wanna hear your insights.

Agentic thing is no magic, it is literally dumb: it is a moronic system that takes if-else to be practically an ideology. How the heck this is thought to be so impressive is beyond me, like, yeah LLMs are predictive machines its not so surprising dat they are good at dat. They are trained to "learn" the semantic relation between word, sentence, text, and then optimized on those weights. Its nothing crazy, its stupid, it is literally a stupid, moronic technology that the only real breakthrough is in marketing of this tool as a mass lifestyle penchant, and now necessitates its integration into economy because there is no prospects of any growth to economy otherwise. The world is getting insane like this. So, no, neural networks are cannot brutforce any thing, it is a static prediction system, it cannot produce anything by itself, it can only analyze semantic relation between tokens

Future technology? None. I dont like technology, best technology already been created. Language as such. There is no better technology than this, so, might as well not bother. I mostly think of ancient technology as the future technology. I think of hammer as a super modern technology that never could be obsolete and never could fall out of fashion. I see future as continuation of meaningless symbols and rituals, the ritual technology is a debilitating influence on all of humanity and the sweet fantasy of the present conditions, the fetishsation of progress and degeneration at the same time, is gonna roll in perpetuity: we as a species of the imaginaries, destined to imagine ourselves as bandits on our way, on the highway to the adventure, to conquer distant lands, to be heroic and prove own self and live as a living tale, all in our fantasy, all in the poor, destitute imagination of our non-existence — our absence from reality, disintegration of us as a class and becoming of a new future, devoid of any us, devoid of any joy. New future of total absence, of total grief. The world where schizophrenia won, where there is nothing but constant binary opposition beween most meaningless words and concepts and all that truly mattered most has died in the loudest terror imaginable, in the pains so terrific everyone who ever heard this scream closed their ears to never open them again. This is the future, the future where the fantasy has won a total victory. Where there is no objection anymore, as our own souls are no more, free will as a project died with god and now that weve noticed it, there is no escape from facing our destitution and inadequacy as humans, as people. And in this future of dejected faces, of most useless trinkets, of most bizzare telemarketers, I see the next future. Future of the future, where hopefully something changes, and instead of our poornes we find our plentitude in which we could be proud of, as people and humans

Its not static prediction system, it uses noise to create variety. You are not gonna get same output for one input. But you are right though, its crazy simple idea on paper, thats why its so crazy how well it works. Its unpredictable as it can fork with agents and create subtasks and that way can go on forever. Its impossible to predict the output. The training data isnt its only data, because it can use tools to produce more data. It creates scripts for itself and does work with them. basically it can create automated script (a loop) to do a task while its doing something else, or it can wait for the script to finish. How can you say it cant brute force a solution when its seeable with your own eyes. So im not saying its good because of the complexity of its design, quite the contrary, it great because of its simplicity. Same reason ants are great. They are great not because they have complex emotions or because of their poetry or something, but because behaviorally they can brute force solution for survival. What do you think tyrannosaurus rex thought when she saw ants? probably that they suck because all they do is built some nest that she can crush with single footstep. Well, lo and behold tyrannosaurus rex is gone and you can only see her remains at american museum of natural history in new york city. Yet ants are still here making their "simplictic" hills and holes.

Dude..! what is this debbie downer thing all about. New bad and old good? You used to preach me how nostalgia is bad and all that. What does fetishsation of progress even mean? Are we better off fetishsizing stagnation or something? Future is always knocking on the door, but the world never truly changes. It would be great if it did, and hopefully for better but none of this is really a big deal. I promise you that god can die, a previously meaningful thing can die, but the quest for meaning will never die. Isnt that just good enough. Or would you rather be some orchestrator or tyrant for what life should be or where meaning should be gained. The meaning is in everyday life towards whatever great unknown.. "But GNU Anon, i was just writing some morbid literature, i didnt mean anything by it", okay, then WHAT did you mean.. Im going to interrogate you, under a dim light and cigarette smoke.. I want some real answers god damned! or even a comedic relief… really just anything but despair.
