The video is by a guy called Bald Foodie Guy, a channel that reviews British supermarket food. The title is 2 SUPERMARKET SAUSAGES BUT ONE STOOD OUT! OMG, and it runs for about 11 minutes.
It’s a comparison review between two packs of premium pork sausages:
• Tesco Premium British Pork Sausages (6 pieces, approx. 400g, priced around £3.30).
• Iceland Luxury Pork Sausages (6 pieces, 300g, around £3).
The guy goes to Tesco and Iceland, buys both, and compares them based on packaging, ingredients, weight, price, smell, texture, and taste after cooking them in an air fryer.
He starts by showing the packages: the Tesco one is “new,” has only 6 ingredients (pork, water, sea salt, black pepper, sage, and natural pork casing), contains 92% British pork, is Red Tractor certified, and states “not suitable for freezing” and “not for microwave.”
The Iceland one has 85% British pork but includes fillers like rice flour, chickpea flour, and dehydrated onion, as well as preservatives (sodium metabisulfite, which is an allergen).
Then he opens the packages (with a bit of drama about the packaging tearing), and smells them: the Tesco one has almost no scent, while the Iceland one reeks intensely of onion. He cooks them in the air fryer, cuts them in half, and tastes them.
He finds the Tesco sausage meatier, juicier, well seasoned with pepper, and having a coarser texture truly “full of meat.”
The Iceland one is softer and has a finer grind, but the onion flavor completely dominates everything. In the end, he says he likes both, but prefers Tesco, giving Tesco a 9/10 and Iceland an 8/10 because there was “too much onion for my taste.” He wraps up by saying “take care of yourselves” and signs off.
It’s classic, casual British food review content: some bald guy talking about sausages as if it were the final judgment of the universe, complete with close ups of the meat, the packaging, and the actual bites.
It’s your typical UK supermarket video; the kind that racks up views because people just love watching someone try out cheap, crappy food and decide which one sucks the least.
