The video is titled I Review America’s Most Dangerous Restaurant at Midnight! and comes from the channel Gary Eats, featuring a funny British guy who reviews restaurants in a humorous, over-the-top style, often wearing a look that says, "What the hell am I doing here?"
The guy shows up at a Waffle House in Dallas, Texas, after midnight, playing up the reputation these places have as absolute battlegrounds once the bars let out.
Gary stands outside the Waffle House looking pretty nervous, calling it “America’s most dangerous restaurant” because the internet is full of videos showing employees fighting, drunk customers causing chaos, hookers, robberies, and general mayhem.
He mentions there are over 2,100 locations across some 25 states and that drunk people show up with that classic “drunk confidence,” ready to pick a fight.
He goes inside and orders the All-Star Special (eggs, hash browns, bacon, blueberry waffle) and a Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe Plate, all to share (“sharing is caring”).
The waitress is named Peaches, and he keeps raving about how nice she is. While waiting for the food, he laughs about the fact that no one is fighting and feels relieved.
When the food arrives:
• The hash browns are super greasy (he says they taste only of grease, not potato).
• The burger is “cheap” and the bacon is overcooked.
• The eggs are greasy, too.
• The blueberry waffle is a bit soggy on the bottom (“no one likes a soggy bottom”).
• The coffee is “wet and warm with a hint of coffee.”
Gary laughs it all off, adds hot sauce to salvage the flavor, compares the chaos to hitting up a greasy kebab shop after the pub back in England, and concludes that it wasn’t too bad… though he’d rather not end up at the dentist because of the bacon.
The whole video is him eating, chatting, playing up the fear of "danger," and showing that, in the end, it was just a quiet night with greasy diner food.
It’s classic British humor: "I came from England to experience American chaos, and all I found was grease and a friendly waitress."
