Every attack you’ve launched against us is failing. Your quest to erase trans people and return to some world that never existed has failed. You used the internet to pump out all those little memes and tell each other we were the reason your hobbies are dying. You had politicians tell you that if you could just get rid of us, everything would be normal again. The Nazis thought that too. They burned the books and destroyed the clinics and thought they could burn the knowledge out with them. But we’re still here. We are your children. We are your neighbors. And you thought if you insulted us enough times, you could make that go away. Now you spend your life staring at strangers, trying to figure out what they are. There’s still time to get out of that. But you don’t have long because the world you think you’re saving is already gone. It was never coming back. You see, I don’t fear a man who hates me for being trans. I fear what a man becomes when he needs people like me to hate.
