Swiss anon why dont you just read philosophy? Do you know this anecdote about Spanish civil servant which just went to self study Spinoza instead of working and no one noticed? Yeah, you could just read philosophy and I think you would like it

Ozma doesn't read philosophy, he's too powerful. Philosophy reads him.

i read some plato works when i was 16 or sth. (ur supposed to start from the greeks etc) it's mildly amusing but just not interesting enough to get me to read

there was some 4 character chinese idiom about this, 十五志学, confucius @ age 15 decided to start LEARNING or something

Yeah, and the kicker? They only noticed when they wanted to give the guy an award for long service
>>302539
Dunno, I dont think you necessarily need to start with Greeks. Any way, if dat isnt interesting then I guess. Its important to know the history of philosophy but today its far different, any way, I dunno

You could just read book about introduction to philosophy and it would have some diverse threads that you could then read about. But reason why I say this is because I think you would benefit handsomely from knowing a thing about it, dunno, there is something I want to say but cant explicate it

Read Karl Marx

yeh i've said in past that i should read the minimum high school curriculum on philosophy and psychology bc it's kinda noticeable that i haven't

in finlan hs there's mandatory classes for those two. or at least was when i was dat age

but dunno if i have time. maybe after singularity (we'll either be gone or have infinite time, can't predict)

yeah skimmed the short google ai summary about it

its pretty interesting how he was like a ghost stuck between two departments but still on the official roll/numbered
the aspect of where he pretended to be normal to people in his real life is crazy too, because even family will get suspicious about things like this despite free time/money

modern day el cid between absurdities

Ah yes, the singularity…

Damn, just imagine how fire would be if you suddenly become a postmodernism expert and could use bloodbath language to argue for bizzare positions. I think you wouldve liked Heidegger and Foucault, probably wouldve hated Baudrillard but not sure on this one

Though, Russia doesnt have philosophy or psychology in high school though. So, dunno, I dont think it dat big of a deal, it just takes a lot of reading for it to be really satisfying

Yeah its a crazy story of bureaucracy

first i would need to quit internet and imageboards so i would read books instead of those

it some 1 class a week thing, so the books r bit thinner 200 pages or something things. so like introduction material
in other countries those r maybe combined to literacy or social studies class etc. like here i think
so maybe u didn't have those classes literally, but some foundation of it was still covered in some other class

Nah, education in Russia is abysmal it has nothing of this sort. Its not like in Europe at all, Russia never had tradition of having philosophy in institutions of education as something desirable. Russian writers that are taught at the school are notorious in being anti government, Pushkin says in his poetry fuck the government, Tolstoy was a christian anarchist which started living as ascetic and he is also lowkey anti government, then we have Mumu which clearly anti government. Any way, and those are all part of school curriculum. The empire was really bad to commoners you see. So, if pupils had philosophy in school it wouldnt take them too much energy to put two and two together and see that school books say fuck the government. So, nah, any form of critical engagement is anathema to Russian education, in Russiam education there is canonical interpretation that you have to be aware of, which means that interpretation of Tolstoy is wat ministry of education says it means. There is little space for independent thought in a Russian school, it teaches obedience and that obedience is achieved by language. Russian language is essentially an legislated language that has canonical uses and canonical glory and canonical meaning, liguistics in Russia, especially about Russian language, is not just description of processes but truth, the language as it is presented in the government approved books is nothing short from sacred truth that cannot be denied or negated. Thats how obedience is instilled, by "love" to the language, which is directly legislated by the ministry of education, by "love" to the country which is instilled by the army, by "love" to the government by equating the government with Pushkin and saying "we are people of Puskin, we speak Pushkin language, we are people of Pushkin civilization" when in fact it is a schizophrenic, the government is a schizophrenic that doesnt know own history, which has holes in memory so big it shows itself as having no brain, the government has nothing to with the people because the government legislates the people out of thin air. The government has become ascended subject without restraint, the government has become God
