The owner is John Robbins. He’s been running the place since April 1987 (when he was 23), meaning nearly 40 years. The house itself has operated as a fish and chip shop since 1893.
John lives right there (you can see his living room from behind the counter), his mom lives next door, and they even share the same phone number.
It’s only open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, but people line up early because it’s a local institution.
Gary orders:
Fish and chips (battered fish + fries) for £6 total (£4 for the fish, £2 for the chips). Curry sauce, mushy peas, steak pudding (what they call a “babby’s yed” in Wigan), and a “super barm” (a soft bun filled with half a fish, half a sausage, chips, and mushy peas for around £2.50).
He tries everything right there on the street; he complains a bit that the batter is peeling off the fish a little, but notes that it’s super crispy. The fish is cooked to perfection, the hand-cut chips are delicious, the curry sauce is classic “chippy” style, and the homemade mushy peas still have whole bits in them.
He praises the value: “ridiculously inexpensive,” “unbelievable value.”
He chats with another food YouTuber (from the Chippy Tour channel) who happens to be there, and they both agree that the price and portion sizes are fantastic.
In the end, Gary leaves very happy and highly recommends the place.

The guy is in Loughborough (a university town in England) and tries out the new KFC x Doritos product called Doritos Loaded.
It’s basically a bag of Tangy Cheese Doritos cut open along the side and filled with:
-Creamy cheese sauce
-Tomato sauce / salsa
-Ranch dressing
-Two chicken tenders
-KFC Original Recipe chicken
-Spicy jalapeños
He orders it with fries and a soda, sits in his blue van to eat it, and gives a running commentary.
He says it’s damn delicious—a simple but brilliant idea—and that the crunch of the Doritos combined with the chicken and sauces works incredibly well; he was more impressed than he expected to be.
He also spends some time complaining about the trash in the area and the students, and takes a moment to respond to a critical comment from a guy named Richard Adams, who told him to stop bringing politics into his food videos because he was driving his audience away. Blue Van Man gives a sarcastic reply and basically tells him to fuck off.
In short: it’s a typical British junk food review, featuring the channel’s laid-back, slightly crude, and digressive style. It’s not a conspiracy theory video or anything deep… it’s just “look at this new shit from KFC; I’m gonna eat it and tell you if it’s good or if it’s total crap.”
