LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Lawyers for Las Vegas-based comedian Scott Thompson, also known as Carrot Top, confirmed that he attempted to take his own life during an emergency hearing for a lawsuit filed against the comedian.

Court documents filed in Broward County, Florida, reveal steps by singer Brian Evans to cancel a settlement reached in 2024. Details of that settlement aren’t available, but the lawsuit claims it was signed when Evans was undergoing stress from “catastrophic” events including the Maui wildfires, an email from Thompson that contained an explicit sex video, and a breakdown of trust between the two performers.
