>>297870infos appreciated but if it wasn't clear i was talking about typical viewing distance w/ each of those items and myopia, not display technology and cataracts or dry eyes. only issue of brightness or the form of radiation is cataracts and the like, which is some older age issue and not that relevant to us. i don't think brighter is bad bc it allows u to view slightly further w/o discomfort (like how things r bit clearer in sunny weather), which is productive in countering myopia
>which means they all stare at monitors doing office workmy whole point is that office pc monitor all day isn't necessary bad but reading or being on phone or laptop is, bc that monitor is 50-100cm from ur eyes while the book or phone or laptop only 20-40cm. maybe crt monitors were bit closer compared to flat monitors bc they took more space from the table, but no1 uses those now. singapore just has asian city statistics bc it's a city, for other east asian countries the stats r slightly milder bc they aren't exclusively cityscape w/ city priorities, even tho they also have 14h schooldays
shrimpmaxxing from laptop comes from the keyboard being next to the display, forcing the rest of u up close too. if ur at reasonable distance (having separate keyboard and mouse for example) i don't think few degrees difference in viewing angle makes much difference, for ur neck or anything else either, tho can still get some platform for it if u want to
