Like I love spices but pajeets overdo it turning everything into some spice goo with redic amounts of turmeric. Never like turmeric myself idk how Indians don't get tired of it.
And yeah Brit cuisine seems homely, but all the toast sandwich meme is hilarious.
It's probably some Brit inside joke (English humor always so fun and quirky!) that foreigners took literally (so they could bully Brits online).
Slav cuisine is also very homely comfort food iyam. Kompots, varienikis, chicken kyiv, holubtsy, pierogis… I regard all this as comfort food myself.
Just yeah you also got the occasional mystery meat abomination such as kholodets…
Funnily enough I think slavs and nordicks use more spices and herbs than Brits.
In northern/eastern europe dill is probably what turmeric is for jeets
