why are ppl on american internet refer to singular person which gender is known with plural "their"
is this some not asuming gender stuff or is it older than that and actually grammaticaly corect ( my english is p poor as y'all know)

it's grammatically fine, although maybe not proper
some people just try to speak more gender neutral, although they obviously said "he" later

Singular they and their and watever is grammatically correct and proper and has been for centuries. That is exactly how Americans speak in daily life, people actually use singular they and like a lot
