this whole system saddens me tho

imagine some1 studied to become chef and then the only jobs involve heating and scooping food. and increasing % of kids @ schools etc refuse food when it's such. so just incredible %'s of waste even if it's more optimal according to capitalism

Huh. Idk what you want to tell me, only pic 2 looks like something I would eat.
A lot of these "western european" cooking like 1 and 3 where u put gratioutous amount of greens next to real food just strikes me as "new age health food" from the 80's or some shit aka white office women nonsense "eat your veggies bub bc the gubmint said its healthy (and the jewish doctor ofc (just to shoutout kgs))
4 is the type of food that is strictly only good if it's freshly made but it openly larps america, funny.
That said I don't shy away from eating food prepared by someone else because sometimes I just cannot give a fuck and busy worrying about something else or they seriously know their craft (a good burger takes surprisingly lot to perfect like choosing cheese, buns etc)
>imagine some1 studied to become chef and then the only jobs involve heating and scooping food.
kitchenwork is backbreaking and a lot of it is done by NPC tier ppl. I worked a day in a kitchen and the cooks started talking about a P!nk song in the radio and the whore itself (this was like 10 years past her prime and she gets played every day in the npc radio). Kitchen hours are long too, these people have barely any life beyond work.
Even the talented and famous chefs work super long hours and work for the craft. Just watch youtube vids by Alvin Zhou Films
Food is just that one thing that you should keep around as a hobby because it's super rewarding but trying to make a living out of it is miserable.
Also recently I'm just gaming a lot and just eat those mortadella-mozzarella-ciabatta sandwiches with tomato and dgaf bc gaming duh

Also recently I have been having these nagging thoughts like how food is probably not supposed to be as tasty as humanity managed to make it to be and we are just zapping our brains with all these exotic impulses and that's how we get "addicted to food"
when I eat raw meat, eggs, milk etc food tastes good, but it's not an exotic brainzap like a samyang spicy carbonara, you could say perfect food is almost boring in a sense?
When I eat a pizza it's like ingesting a colorful landscape shot, but when I eat a raw good food, it's like a portrait of a single thing, ya feel me?
Maybe we fucked up food by making it too interesting

dunno was expecting there to be something particularly nasty about heated food. like it's in plastic packs or sth, or to survive x hours in heating tray requires this and that chemical that's bad for u
>where u put gratioutous amount of greens next to real food
i used to think same but i've discovered fibre is pretty important. if u eat fibre properly u don't even have to wipe, theoretically. also colon cancer rates r exploding among young ppl in past decade bc so many eat some meme diets that lack fibre
these being cafeterias could have asked for something else instead of those
nutrition wise i agree there's very little in veggies
tho there's some alternatives to fibre, like i'm pretty sure just gelatin would suffice. tho i eat 20g gelatin a day and i don't really notice it

>but trying to make a living out of it is miserable

i think there's lots of professions like that. animol lover veterinarian ending up mostly just euthanising animols, teachers teaching @ kids who don't give a shit, etc
>>295745
very agree. normally i ate stuff like white rice + ground beef (both organic), seasoned w/ salt (i have no other spices). when the ingredients r high quality they taste good (amazing even) on their own, u don't need some spice bonanza. spices r only for making low quality food palatable. so it's no wonder india and china and rest of third world r big on them, and they laugh @ white ppl food being bland

>dunno was expecting there to be something particularly nasty about heated food. like it's in plastic packs or sth, or to survive x hours in heating tray requires this and that chemical that's bad for u
oh well. First and foremost, one thing that is a hot topic these days is chemical leeching into food from containers but as far as the food industry goes, that's where it should be a bit better actually than home cooking since they are making huge proportions which means as the volume of the container grows, the surface area the food is interacting gets proportionally smaller. So that much is crossed out but the supply chain has it's own problems like to focus on resilience they have to loosen quality control which makes the slop neverending but mid. Only other thing I can think about is using canned food or frozen food which means the veggies already got pasteurized aka dead inside. You can catch this yourself if you make your own food, the average canned tomato I use for italian food has an expiration period of 2 years (which means it's pretty much fallout shelter type food already)
Idk food is same as ever, the fresher the better (which means you will always have to take compromises if you want to do other things than hustling food all day). Unironically having a housewife that does all that shit would make these things easier but they don't make those anymore (and they require some maintenance as well)

ok thanks for ur input. explained y these taste aggressively mid, not bc they all have some same taste chemical leaching into them but bc they're just cost optimised. expected worse, so i'll still eat this slop when it's convenient. also ur very right about the square cube law thing

r u retarded ? one religiously avoids sun (and face is mysteriously always paler than ears and neck etc from makeup) and for other one tanning is leisure status symbol

maximum pale turks and greeks and italians look pretty ghostly too. partially accentuated by dark hair etc
tho also whites have thinner skin than other races for increased vitamin d absorption, which makes the skin tone bit less obvious bc it's more translucent

that said there are pale koreans and japanese, but they're <5% of their population and pretty obvious

Albeit I don’t know meat quality in Switzerland. For all I know you got a 30 dollar deal on flank Wagyu or some shit. In the USA 30 bux is either a small petit filet which is prime, that would be maybe 20 or 25 at the grocers so it’s what the resteraunt would call a loss leader. Or it’s a sizable choice cut, where the restaurant made like 50 points off the transaction

T. Meat assburgers loser cel

In the east there is a shark which is larger than all other fish. It
changes into a bird whose winds are like clouds filling the sky. When this
bird moves across the land, it brings a message from Corporate Headquarters.
This message it drops into the midst of the programmers, like a seagull
making its mark upon the beach. Then the bird mounts on the wind and, with
the blue sky at its back, returns home.
The novice programmer stares in wonder at the bird, for he understands
it not. The average programmer dreads the coming of the bird, for he fears
its message. The master programmer continues to work at his terminal, for he
does not know that the bird has come and gone.
-- Geoffrey James, "The Tao of Programming"

  No. 295794 [PM]

In the USA “lunch cut” or “lunch filet” is usually a petit filet mignon if prime. The business is making 20 points if they keep the price reasonable with the gain focused on added purchases, such as beverages. The steak, fries and a salad are designed to be complemented with alcohol. Where they make significant margins, over 50 points. However it isn’t unheard of a steakhouse as opposed to like a general resteraunt, bistro or diner to try to make 50 points on a small petite filet which is what, 7oz of beef?
