But you didnt learn about any of dat

It is very strange that imageboard users turn out to be right wing or sympathetic to it. Though, it might not appear so. I think most of the people think, at least in the west, that imageboards are just cess pits, places for exiled, and in a sense it would be right. This doesnt explain why overwhelming majority of imageboard people think they posses intricate knowlege of rightism

Why didnt imageboard users become leftist instead? Perhaps, there were leftist spaces. But now rightism and imageboards go together like butter on toast, its just natural or even organic, and that is really weird. Well, first thing that makes imageboards rightist is that they are mostly about teenagers. Most of these teenagers have some kind of issue, or they are interested in weird stuff, so it is not so inconceivable that theyll be racist or watever. There is no white youth in existence that did not at least once said a slur of any kind, like nword or watever, so then it is just reflection on our base state of society that racism is endemic to our society and rightist views are widely understood and seem just natural

That is not wat is weird. Wats weird is the very long jump from base racism and conservatism of a society to outright Hitler worship. And there is an answer to why dat happened. On its own, there is no connection at all between Hitlerism and conservatism in a society that most youth possess, so this connection has to be made

The theory of how National Socialism can survive the death of Hitler is not so complicated. Hitler, in a sense, never died. Hitler is this transcended substance which gurantees continuation of the white race, so, corporeal body has indeed shoot itself in the bunker, but the man the idea? It didnt. So, National Socialists came up with a theory that the struggle become dormant. That Nazism wasnt defeated, that it is unsustainable and such an ideology can only implode if left to own devices, but actually that it was just an attempt that did not really fail either. The racial revolution was just suspended meanwhile cold war and other shenanigans are happening

So people who still believed in National Socialism, they didnt just lay down on the bed an wait for the moment. Wat they did is to read on the leftist revolutionary theory and learn how do they make it happen, eventually. So, wat they came up with is decentralized groups that only have in common is their mission as National Socialists to make it happen

There wasnt a single National Socialist movement, instead there were hundred thousands of them and not only that, this way of organizing is not limited to white people only. The idea follows that small groups of people are able to influence communities on a deeper level, and through that, on the grassroots level, people become more radicalized and shift to the right

And it worked. Nazis learned how to use technology in a sneaky way to promote the Hitler worship and they were very smart with their strategy. Thats how almost all people who used imageboards feel that they know all about Nazi bs and watever

But most of people who were teenagers, been through the funnel, been through the pipe line, they didnt stay for long radicalized. And that is expected, the purpose of whole ironic Hitlerism, whole ironic racism or watever, is creating sympathetic ground for a more radical arguments. It is not rationally explainable why Mexicans speak like white supremacists, on the face of it. But it is perfectly explainable if taking into the account of the strategy of National Socialists, those people are necessary in order for the whole idea to work. Mexicans speaking in the white supremacist code language is integral, because it normalizes crypto Nazism, it makes it seem as if it is just ironic joke or that it is an injoke that only those who in the know can understand

Now that I remember my old imageboard days, I can perfectly see wat it was all about. Imageboard people are not really bound by any thing, they are anonimous strangers that it takes considerable labour to know about. So, how to make people actually stay on the imageboards for long? Why would people stay on there with strangers with whom they know nothing and dont know wat to expect? Firstly, thematics. People like having hobby friends, so, this is the most organic way of using imageboards. This is actually the nicest thing about imageboards and thats where imageboards at its best

And second is demagogery. Because most of the imageboard users are young, it is easy to mobilize them by using their insecurities and hatred. The fact that most imageboards were anonimous just really straightned this way of growing imageboard population. This is a way of growing an inorganic community, people who are bound by hate are only continue to be bound if they continue hating. And it was so potent and so effective, it is hard to overstate

Then, I guess imageboards began very rapid radicalization. Because inorganic communities had to live alongisde organic communities, it created microsocieties which were intensely creative, intensly gatekeep, intensly depended on code langugages. And that isnt so bad in itself, all microsocieties are like dat. It is just not natural, that such a pace of radicalization would just continue headlong

Any way, wat I want to say is this. Form of Hitlerism on the imageboards, it is not wat Nazism or any type of right wing ideology is about. Wat it is, is just a manufactured fantasy that worked wonders with attracting really large userbase, that which very efficiently converted into members of microsocieties. So, it was no accident that Hitler mythos would be basis for most imageboard microsocieties, it was perfectly intended, but it is not the real deal. Because people were anonymous, this concoction of Hitlerism couldnt build electorate, necessary for gaining power, so it was largery an apolitical Hitler worship. Politics werent the main point, the main point was redefining revolution and wat it meant, to make radicalism to feel as if it is natural. And dormant National Socialists succeeded in it, imageboards were just one example, but the theory theyve used to prepare grassroots sentiments for eventual takeover of a rightist superhitler is very transparent in today's America. Donald Trump is not a superhitler, but he never intended to be, there is only one Hitler and he is still alive. Hitler is inside those who believe in him, so, Hitler worship aint gonna stop and superhitler is the condition of cryptonazism being dominant in culture, which is exactly wat happens in America right now

Meta A.I, summarize this shitty wall of text:

*SUMMARY:*

The author is surprised that you never learned any of this. He says it's weird that imageboards became so right-wing.

Sure, imageboards are full of teenagers with issues, and teenagers say edgy, racist stuff all the time. Every white kid has said a slur at least once. So base-level racism being common on anonymous boards makes sense. That's not the weird part.

The weird part is the huge jump from just being an edgy, conservative teenager to full-on ironic Hitler worship.

That jump didn't happen naturally. It was engineered.

After Hitler died in the bunker, some Nazis decided Hitler as an _idea_ didn't die. They believed the racial revolution was just paused, put on standby during the Cold War. So instead of waiting around, they studied leftist revolutionary theory.

Their strategy was leaderless resistance: instead of one big Nazi party, create thousands of tiny, decentralized groups that share the same goal. Small groups can radicalize a community from the grassroots up. And it wasn't just for white people - even Mexicans using white supremacist code makes sense in this plan, because it normalizes it. It makes crypto-Nazism look like just an inside joke.

That's how imageboards got flooded. The Nazis learned to use the internet in a sneaky way. They used two tricks to keep people on the boards:

1. *Organic communities:* hobby friends. This is the nice part of imageboards.
2. *Inorganic communities:* people bound together by hate and demagogy. Since everyone is anonymous, it's easy to exploit teenage insecurities. People who are bound by hate only stay together if they keep hating.

When you mix both, you get super intense microsocieties that are creative, gatekeepy, and obsessed with code language.

So the Hitlerism you see on imageboards isn't real, old-school political Nazism. It's a manufactured fantasy designed to attract a huge userbase. Because it was anonymous, it could never build a real electorate, so it stayed apolitical - ironic racism, ironic Hitler. Its real purpose was to make radicalism feel natural and to create sympathetic ground for more extreme ideas later.

The author says you can see this theory in today's America. Trump is not the "Super-Hitler" himself, but he is a symptom. There is only one Hitler and he lives inside the believers. The goal was to make crypto-Nazism culturally dominant, and according to him, that's exactly what's happening now.

Yeah, sure, but contrarians are almost always already have strong convictions about politics. Like, if you are teenager, you are like 98% likely contrarian and yet if you are on imageboards or internet in general at dat time you already a libeetarian, Pinochet supporter and Chicago School knower, so contrarianism isnt some thing stable or logical, it is a way of defenfing own boundaries
