That's why Jews are evil spiteful counts because their God is a god that will personally kill you in their religion, Christian reformed that, and Islam reformed that

>>289052Thats even worse than wat Adam Smolinski said… Morality is innate to wat, exactly, and where does it reside? Belief is really human, but it is no where written in the DNA that we are destined to believe. Thats just how we come to live a life and thats it. Adam was right to say that morality is cultural, in the sense that moral systems in form of a religion is universally present in all cultures. But all other things, he wasnt, but that only because American education and everything surronding it is busted. So, yeah, there is such a thing as a Christian morality, this is a totality that consists of different Christian constellations and the do, in fact, share commonalities and history (I dont think you can defeat my Good Friend, sorry…) (Thank you for liking my picture)
No. 289057 [PM]
>>289052if it was innate, it wouldn’t vary so wildly through geography and time
there are a very very small number of things people almost universally agree on, like murder or stealing
but that’s just the most basic Golden Rule stuff that societies broadly m realized was wrong over time, not innately (imo), when civilization developed
>>289050idk I think if morality is something that continuously improves through reasoned debate, experience, and time, like opposition to slavery, it’s more meaningful and substantive than morality just being something you innately know when you’re born or being told through a holy book
No. 289058 [PM]
>>289055the only thing that really unites Christian morality is still basic Golden Rule shit, why do you think there are countless Christians who practice divorce when it’s explicitly not ok in the Bible? there’s virtually nothing consistent across Christian theology in terms of morality that’s not also basically universal
No. 289059 [PM]
>>289057Thats just not true, but it is expected that youll use this line of reasoning. No, morality never "improved" throught reasoned debate, people fought for their better treatement. If morality ever "improved", it was because of violent struggle not because of some reasoned debate which never happened
>>289058Adam, why are you bigoted? This is not rational. Not even Christians themselves literally follow the Bible, Im sure you know dat, and that interpretation of wat it means is a open question and it always was. You try to make hundred millions of people dumbasses just because of your own feeble understanding of wat they believe in or wat motivates them to do dat. Any way, you are incorrect and thats it
No. 289060 [PM]
>>289059> No, morality never "improved" throught reasoned debate, people fought for their better treatement. If morality ever "improved", it was because of violent struggle not because of some reasoned debate which never happenedit has not always been through violent struggle, and I also mentioned time (like views on interracial relationships) + experience (both your own + exposure to others’ like on LGBT issues) not only reasoned debate
> Not even Christians themselves literally follow the Bibleyeah, that’s the point, since Christian morality is virtually nonexistent, not sure how you don’t realize that.
No. 289061 [PM]
like what is even just one unique component of Christian morality that’s near-universal among Christians that is not also the case for basically every other religion and society?

>>289060>>289061Where did this reasoned debate commence? In the books of academics? Sure. Truth of the matter is, Christianity (in the US) did more to morality than any academic thought in its totality. Christianity did more to make people live better than any one in the US academy. And that is to be expected because the US is a very religious nation, and most people believe in Christianity, and it was found on Christianity too. So, nah, it was all violence. If LGBTQ+ people live better today, thats because they fought for dat, not because there was some reasoned debate. As for time and experience, I dunno, that doesnt sound true at all. White suburbs are still white, people are still racist as sh*t, and minorities are still discriminated regardless of time or experience. It is all just more visible now, everyone is more racist now, just not really overtly. All those who are discriminated can do is to struggle for recognition of their humanity, no amount of experience to LGBT people gonna help a convinced conservative to change their mind, no amount of time gonna make queer people live better if waiting and showing themselves is all they gonna do
Im not gonna debate you on your bigotry. You are incorrect and dats it, you can confirm your biases else where

it falls short really damn fast when you realize this forgiveness is based on temu-judaism concept of sins
of course the concept of forgiveness itself is not bad, but when you think about things such as original sin, omnipotence and so on, it takes 5 seconds to realize its just circular reasoning
they had a good run in a sense how european "elites" kept building justifications and theology on very shaky foundations, but then again when you have over thousand years of times to do that with authoritative force its less and less impressive.
i get that lot of people are fond to forgiveness, because we all want to be forgiven for something we did we wrong, but whats wrong or right should come from coherent system of reasoning, not from written quotes or some iron age laws, where rest is interpreted using combination of the two.
but thats just part of it, messianism itself is very bad. Any kind of messianism. Christianity today is just Jesus-cult, a cult for a man named jesus. Who, btw, was just common guy with a common name in Judea during the time. A man radicalized by his time, and possibly by the preaching of John the baptist. After john died i think jesus started to have a power fantasy of sorts, of him being a messiah based on all kinds of weird ideas of royal jewish blood and so on. The whole idea of his legitimacy is well underlined in new testament, especially in gospels. In textual critical study of new testament, the different motivations of what specific author wanted to claim is well known.
Its funny to me that we are well aware of the tradition of myth-building and performing miracles in order to create legitimacy, especially from that time, yet somehow, an exception is created for the authors of new testament.
Btw, i dont think miracles are fully unfounded. I think there is certain truth to them. Not just jesus-miracles, but miracles in general. For instance when people claimed to have seen Asclepius and claimed to be healed by him, i dont think they were necessarily lying about it, but that it is something similar to mass psychogenic illness, some phenomena thats not just well understood enough, partly because its in the population itself, making it hard to observe and understand from the outside. I mean similar things might be going on as we speak, but we naturally fail to recognize it, because we are part of it, be it regional or global thing, doesnt really matter.
Anyway what i really wanted to say is that christian morality is not some direct opposite of egoism or "fascistic quality". What you are essentially suggesting is that we need that moral system, but in order to defend temu-judaism morality you need to defend its morals, i.e the established sins and why you need to be forgiven for those. What makes you so keen to the idea of authoritative figure, which is the only figure to have authority to forgive? I suggest its better we forgive each other.
Also, sorry for not posting much lately. Ive been summermaxxing.

>>289292Christianity is not really a rigid system, it is some thing dat is protean. So, no, it is not exactly circular reasoning and even it is, it is not some thing so outrageous
If we see systems as their output, well, then messianic cult or Jesus cult isnt so bad. It is an cultural institution under which mostly common folk has to live under and those with power can do really watever they want if they control the violence and information. So, I dont think it is fair to say dat Christianity is incoherent or not really a reasoned system, this is never a problem and being not really reasoned would be still a plus. Christianity has a long history, thats true, and it is just matter of time when any one would take Bible and say here it contradicts with there
So, yeah, I dont believe Christianity is really a force that wants us all to suffer or some thing. Christianity is not in binary opposition to the fascistic quslity thing, it is just two ways of seeing things
Basically, wat I suggest is radical usage of Christian sentiment to uphold humanity of all people. Christianity is mostly about grace of God, so, it is about creative expression of one’s love towards God. God, then, is love, and loves everyone and understands everyone. If God is evil, well, then there is really no point to this concept. People search for hope and they tend to find it in infinite singularities like dat. Because it can be any thing, God can be any thing and it is like dat
So, nah, there is no authoritative figure in this equation. Youll ask how so, you probably dont really know about Christianity, and Im gonna say yes, I wouldnt know it as much as you. That isnt a problem, wat is a problem that you cannot conceive systems without authority but such system are possible. So, if some one would be advocating for authoritative measures, it would be not me, any way, forgiveness is not the point. Forgiveness is the consequence, not a quality, forgiveness is the output of this system. If we gotta suffer, well, we’ll suffer as equals. If we gotta bear hardship, we’ll share in it. And if we gotta have better days, then, we’ll be together like dat. All I propose is living the way literature is made
(No problem, just dont forget about me or some thing)

Ok, let me try at this thing
Love, wat is it if not a thousand letters. Wat is it if it is not hundreds of spent hours, in waiting
If there is such a thing as a competent mailman, then it would be you who is hesitant. Waivering in your response, unsure. Your letters do not reach me more, and I sit in despair at my table. Ready to go write, part and parcel, just couple of hours for the mailman to take it from me to the endless quest, from me to you
And from me to you the river flows, on it the cargo ship that has my letter. In safety and good health of the crewmen, it crosses waves after waves, and the peaking sun that it is in the middle of the water
After it, the mail cargo gets unloaded and begin its journey through endless number of endpoints. From city to city, the letters which carry my love to you move, my love to you has been through every city and yet it hasnt learnt anything from it. No better ways, seen no difference. All the same old village, copied and copied over again
Then the mail cart finds the destination. My letter, then, gets put into the box. And in this box it spends eternity. Love then become endless, but not in the way it should. Love then made me mad, and not in the way anyone should

>>291024Dunno, if ideas/concepts can be deities, then it could be true (on its own, ideas are divine, but because they are generally not worshipped, they are not called deities. Divine ideas which get worshipped are deities) (so it is not so extreme or watever, ideas as divine knowledge are literally come from God, in other words, they are of God and represent quality of God or one of its modes)
I think life is a consequence. Because it must exist before any thing and be consequent, continuing existing forever, most likely. So, in other words, life is mother of God or nature
