Class, I'm glad that tech is being more easy to understand
It reduces the cost of sending stuff into space by like 90%
Even though I hate saying it but thanks musk

I found out I've a fatty liver and some liver damage recently :D
But yeah it's good news for everyone, musk popularised the tech
Kinda earned it too because most people think about space X and the first thing that pops into their head is a rocket exploding lol
That's the nut they were trying to crack and they did it, subsequently made it actually relatively cheap to send sattilites into space
I still think he's a retarded ketamine addict that would probably fit right in posting here

i think it's more conservative ~50% cost reduction for falcon 9 and this thing. (which is still a lot tbh) they're still jettisoning the second stage.
but for starhip, if it works, would be +95%

i remember having seen the grasshopper test vid on reddit in 2012. was very cool, but had no idea or expectations where they (some rando american space company) could go from there
but they did it. to the point where it's routine and uninteresting, like musk wanted

I should have prefaced it more like up to 90% , you for something that isn't really that heavy in the first place the rocket is probably the more expensive thing
>>285510
That was sort of the goal no? To make it ubiquitous and uninteresting to send something up there
And fucking hats off to them were well on the way
It's really good that the tech is able to be replicated I really thought they'd gaurd that shit
