all memes aside, if you're a cat person then Shibas are actually a pretty good choice if you have to get a dog breed lol. They are quite independent and cat-like, similar to a lot of spitz-type breeds. But compared to like a husky or a Samoyed they are more likely to prefer just chilling and doing their own shit for a bit then sleeping in their spot rather than scaling a 6 foot tall fence and sprinting off into the wilderness.

They're really not my kind of dog at all, but they suit some people well
