Fortnite is very casual, neither kgs nor me sweat in it. It's the perfect game to play without any commitment either, you got 25 minutes you play a little. It's not like these super deep rpgs where you dont play for two weeks and forget everything you were about to do
Also fortnite has a lot more gameplay variety than your average competitive shooter where you have two corridors and it's all about aiming.

no i mean i find those shooters incredibly fucking boring, not "intimidating" or watever ur implying

building could make them more interesting and strategic, but the stuff in fortnite seems lame and gimmicky. infiniminer was good. i like classes too. so i've tried tf2, tho it too was boring. engineer builds something but it's just not enough to make it interesting

The point is that fortnite being open world and has a varied map where you can plan ambushes, draw enemies into tight spaces, lay traps, run niggas over with cars etc. Basically all your BR fantasies you've been spilling about over the years on the board

infiniminer but bit more polished would be amazing. the conflict is about which team mines more minerals. balancing between focusing on that, building infrastructure, killing other team or destroying their infra, exploration. just really interesting combination
