Because fortnite save the world is not a battle royale. It's different game mode, kinda like those tower defense games and it plays in a post-apocalyptic universe where most people got turned into husks (zombies), deadly storms awash the land and spawn monsters
The battle royale uses the assets and some mechanics but it's a different game
