i would probably be pretty normie now if i had been receptive to girls in elementary or middle school when i was given the chance. i would basically have been enslaved by some girl, in social sense, which would have forced me (but also given reason) to keep participating in society and do all the bs it entails (confirmation, hs, car, conscription, uni, job, house, children)
BUT i'd be lot less "conscious" or "red pilled", and have consumed lot less media (the horror). tho imo you can also achieve that 'consciousness' by being able to NEET and self reflect for 6-12 month, and anything more than that is diminishing returns basically

>>265294i think almost everyone has 6-12 months afk time in their life
but lets be real here, nobody uses their free time to gain some enlightenment, its mostly playing video games or some other shit like that
and no, i dont think you gain some special conscious by reading shit on the internet all day, you just become very opinionated about things you have no practical experience of

to know who comes looking for you
to know if you even want to come back
even without any gay language like dat being truly cut off from everything for even a few months lets you experience life, art, literature, etc. unburdened and unclouded.
you know how having no money makes you dumb because you're constantly having to figure out how to get by until the end of the week or even until tomorrow - no mental capacity left to reflect on more abstract topics like morals, philosophy, etc. now replace money with time, physical energy or obsession with career, pussy, social status whatever else, you get similar results. Why do you think Netflix makes so much 2screen content
think you're wrong here buddy

>>265330you cannot be truly cut off from everything and thus you are never truly unburdened
i enjoy literature on daily basis, if i would tell myself to find time for it, then it would just never gonna happen
its easy to constantly feel like there is no time to do anything, but its not really true. this is gonna sound gay, but we spend too much time living in past or future, when what we should do instead is to live in present moment.

When you are in a state of self-imposed mental poverty via employment or otherwise, it taints those experiences with notes of escapism, delusions of self improvement or social status or >the thing I'm supposed to be doing, or >better than what the other guy is doing, etc

>>265744You exist in a world of labels, if label says it's good, it's good for you. I look past labels and look at the content as it is, regardless if it's popular or not. Those labels are defined by other people and you conform to them, I reject them. I have low tolerance for bad content, you will never see me try to consume something that I don't enjoy myself just to acquire the label of having consumed said circlejerked content. The fact that you still can't see value in streaming just shows you are unable to properly engage with the medium and see the good in it, the labels stop you.
Now, of course, on the other end of the spectrum you have kpop which is junk but you enjoy it deep down, which is your true self bubbling above this carefully maintained surface image of being this patrician super deep media enjoyer. Maybe you should try being more honest with yourself and try to find out what you truly like and not try to set up a "portfolio" of labels that gets you the most updoots on the internet.
The rest of your points all boil down to this tonedeaf interpretation of the world through labels, it is pointless to address them.

>>265787That's exactly what I was about to tell you because it is the perfect example. Everyone who finally tried the game liked it, but you can't because kids danced on video or something. Those kids didn't, but we all played the old shit you ramble about, be it tf2 or arena shooters. That's what it means to "actually engage with media" and "having some actual understanding or insight on things I enjoy"
You are the one who lives and dies by the labels uncslop and zoomerslop.
And don't get me started on your non-pop music which is labeled "schwartzwalder noisecore cocktorture" but it actually just sounds like a busy junkyard on a monday afternoon. Purely fishing for labels, obviously.
>whether it's epic redpilled based content or libtard propagandaI feel like we hit a complex roadblock here. You either didn't know hollywood ran and runs propaganda to this day, or you just socialized with the redditors who love to ignore obvious messaging and pretend everything is fine (which is peak normcore trait btw). Or you just lack media literacy (funny meme xd) to notice the subtle messaging.
And now we arrived to one more problem. You can't differentiate between the labels in your head. The labels that make you into performative parrot all say "critically acclaimed" "well-reviewed" etc. All adjectives that describe how the audience reacted to something. Subversive, woke is more like an ingredient list. It's objective, it's there, no matter how much the audience sees from it. It's easier to describe this with a food analogy: you can say the mcd cheeseburger is well liked, which is similar to having a high rating on imdb, this is just an audience opinion. But the cheeseburger objectively contains a few slices of pickles. This doesn't say how the audience reacts to it, some hate it and some love it, but it's objectively there. That is similar to propaganda content in media. This lack of resolution, granularity is part of the problem.
You are the quintessential reddit male who is just smart enough to build up a house of cards in their head but not to properly handle or diagnose it.
A dumb person will look at your recommendations, try some media, falls asleep, and realizes you are full of shit thanks to their instincts. A smart person will look at this and realize the order in your head that was built by other people is just as dumb as those other people and doesn't serve you.
And for other redditors? They try to conform to this system and when it inevitably fails they make threads like "I tried to read this classic literature thrice and fell asleep, any solutions?"

>>265884I find your fixation on GFs (like they are supposed to drive you towards "success" by providing "motivation") a bit weird TBH, like I'd assume you have low libido.
IMO a big part of "striving for success" or whatever is a desire for achievement, for problem-solving or just to beat somebody at something lol. GFs don't provide that by themselves unless your desires start and end with sexual relationships w
IDK, maybe your thoughts come from the desire for family life but then again, GFs are not family, it's just a first stepping stone in a possible new family or something, GF is basically a stranger in your life who may make it worse too
IMO anyways w

looking @ how simpishly u behave @ karo, no offense, it's cute, i think if u had had gf u would have gone to some effort to remain acceptable to her and society
this thread wasn't me regretting or obsessing over anything, just realising there's probably few things that may have forced me into having more normie life, even if i always detested dat idea. i also don't and never cared about having family. any procreation related stuff i've written has been me just narcissistically (and grossly, i admit) thinking i should have x children. if i was billionaire i would do wat musk or that telegram guy did, and skip the family part entirely
