ok these were not so good
felt like some marvel movies, w/ random locations and random nonsequitur events @ them. "no-maj" and "non-magique" sounded so incredibly dumb, lazy and uninventive, while hp was otherwise full of inventive and interesting words and terms, and that same hollowness applied to everything else in these too. like, it was pointless to have new york and paris and berlin as locations, when they explored nothing about wizard societies in them. (what very little they showed was cool tho) other than them apparently having ministries and mass (relatively) bureaucracy, just like magical britain, and that's their most defining aspect. maybe since wizards r basically post-scarcity society, they have to invent busywork so they're not instead killing each other. muggle guy was so pointless. i get him as narrative device, which worked, but he just never did anything interesting otherwise. newt's autistic behaviour and speech were irritating too. but guess it's cool there's some representation for weird ppl
they were very hermetised from real world events or politics, which couldn't have gone on, so maybe they realised how dumb the whole gringewald tie in to ww2 ALWAYS was, and that's y no 4th or 5th. as for more common criticism about there being too much dumbledore and gringewald and hogwarts, i was completely fine w/ that since newt is so boring to me, and the creatures rowling came up w/ not that interesting either

wands r supposed to be european invention, so would have been cool to see other forms of magic. also i was expecting dat american school of wizardry in these. but no to both

ok realise i'm probably only one from here who watched these. maybe other than mexico slav (out of muscle memory i almost always type 'slave', then erase the final letter :DD). so the review probably isn't useful, since it writes assuming reader has seen it too
