Spain - Belgium already happened but I wouldn't be so sure with either.
Spain is lazy and can't score vs good defense. They have struggled scoring the tournament and Belgium has good defense. If I didn't know result I would bet either for 1 - 1 draw, or 1 - 0 Spain / 2 - 1 Spain.
England has good defense + good keeper, excellent striker, good midfield, bad wings. Team sometimes fail in coordination.
Norway has excellent striker + good keeper. Rest is okay and team has good coordination.
Honestly match can go either way but there will be at least 2 goals. I would bet on 3-4 goals.

>>285769how fixed is the football these day in your opinion
No. 285773 [PM]
>>285772Likely somewhat.
Referees have been very lenient on Argentina, specially on Messy. FIFA president is unironically rooting for Argentina so there you have it.
One match Messi steps on another players leg = no red card.
Next matches someone steps on an Argentine player = red card.
That has been the most obvious case so far, but can easily be attributed to luck and individual poor refereeing. The referee on Paraguay - France was atrocious but I sincerely don't think the match was fixed so Paraguay won even though all referee calls clearly benefitted Paraguay. More likely Paraguay learned how to play dirty and know how/when to stay out of the referee radar to do foul/dirty play.
People have been nitpicking and pointed other odd instances on Argentina matches, but imho they have been mostly fair/consistent/understandable, though still almost always seemingly benefit Argentina.
The most obvious and imho only case of inconsistency was mentioned above and yeah the FIFA president rooting for Argentina.

>>285773yes the last ones seem to be questionably marketable in terms of hypes
mbappe, haaland, messi etc are still in

>>285773On one hand people do call out referees when they do atrocious work. It's understandable, they have such a massive crew asissting them nowadays + VAR + camera on shirt.
VAR rules should also be more clear consistent, they are still somewhat vague and basically rely on the referee's expected fair reasoning/judgment. I understood the reasoning behind the fouls on Argentina - Egypt match up but the issue of them being referee decisions on his judgment and not being based on clear ruling leads to speculation and frustration. Not even giving a VAR call on the foul right before Argentina's last goal was wild. At the end referee call was right cuz it wasn't a foul, but it seemed unfair because on an earlier similar situation there was a VAR call which ended up cancelling one of Egypt's goals. I fully understand why referee chose to cancel it and the final decisions were correct, but the way both situations played out seemed to benefit Argentina entirely and match fixing in favor of Argentina at the expense of Egypt.
It's kinda wild that having such good players many referees still make so many poor/vague decisions.
Still imho they never get good credit when they actually manage to do their job just right (Argentine referees for the France - Morocco match up were very good actually).
I would unironically like to work as a goyball referee lol.

>>285774yeah tl;dr it seems like the most marketable players have a free pass because their appearance on the matches is wildly marketable and profitable.

>>285782Haven't seen Norway do that.
Would be hilarious if they do that and win tho lol :DD
I don't even mind haramball myself, it's not that easy to pull off, defenders have to do crazy work and it's honestly the most reasonable thing to do playing against an overall stronger team.
It only sucks when it's the only tactic the shitty ahh team knows how to play/pull.

>>285783big PR behind norway, it is either win this one match or lose everything
as you said it is only defense against better team. they HAVE TO do it.
fucking break harry kanes leg, bellingham's leg
as José Mourinho said:
"It's not important how we play. If you have a Ferrari and I have a small car, to beat you in a race I have to break your wheel or put sugar in your tank."
do the math :DDD

>>285785Think Mourinho played vs prime pessi/xavi/etc Barcelona with 10 men after an early red card in Spain and still managed to pass to the next round and left Barcelona behind
Think 15 years later Barcelona has entirely new players and still struggles against haramball :DD
wild :DD
